Conveyance, August 2, 1889
Pen and Ink on Vellum
Date: August 2, 1889. Conveyance of land at No.9 Widdin St., Parish of West Ham, County of Essex, England from George Chambers and Charles Masters to Walter Woods for the sum of 77 Pounds Sterling. Three superb hand-stamped red wax personal seals, embossed tax stamp for ten shillings affixed with sterling silver tag and crown seal. Scalloped, indented top edge. Hand drawn/coloured site plan. Beautiful calligraphy, darkly penned and easily read. The natural fold marks can be pressure-pressed out for dramatic framing. h. 23in. X w. 28.75in h. 58.4cm. X w. 73.0cm.
