This is a hand-coloured original pochoir from La Gazette Du Bon Ton, Issue #3, 1923, Plate 13. Classic Barbier elegance with striking gold highlights on the Worth evening coat. The New Woman is set in brilliant colour with her monochrome male escort relegated to the shadows, with even the automobile in the background getting more endearing attention. Pochoirs of this period often contained pointed and humorous social commentary.
