This is an authentic, hand-coloured, pochoir fashion illustration (Plate #139)from the 1914 Journal des Dames et des Modes - a Parisian fashion journal published by Tom Antongini. This revue ran for only two years (1912-1914) and was limited to 1279 copies per issue. Because of this it is much less known than the Gazette du Bon Ton but employed many of the same artists. The plates came with the revues but were not bound in. This is an exceptional plate in that there is stunning use of silvering on both the coat and dress.
